SMA Resuming Production of SB-41 Series Residential & Core1 Series Commercial Inverters

We just received word that SMA has alleviated some of their supply chain constraints, and will again be taking orders for both the SB-41 Residential and the Core1 Commercial inverters. AEE will be reinstituting these items on our online store, AEE Express and will begin taking orders for these inverters. However, be aware that SMA also announced a price increase on all of their inverters, and we will need to adjust our pricing accordingly.

SMA advised us that AEE and other distributors could start receiving inverters around the middle of October; however, this has yet to be confirmed. AEE is planning to stock all of the Residential inverters, but for now AEE is only planning to stock the SMA Core1-62 commercial inverter. If you have projects that will demand the SMA Core1-50 commercial inverter, then please let your Territory Sales Manager know, so we can consider preordering those and reserving them to your projects. Some JHAs may have a cap on inverter capacity at 50kW or 100kW AC, but we do not see this often.

All SMA inverters are Sunspec enabled, and pair well with the APSmart Rapid Shutdown Devices. AEE has adequate stock of these Rapid Shutdown devices.

Once these SKUs are re-established, these items will again appear on AEE Express, and your sales team will be able to provide active quotes for your projects. Please call our sales team at 800-777-6609, or go to our online store at AEE Express.
