Experienced Sales Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer, a full or part-time position reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. This position can be filled at our Redway office or from your home office. Formal education is not a requirement, but substantial solar system design and/or installation experience is a must.

Sales Engineers assist our inside and outside sales teams and also work directly with our dealers. SEs enter dealer quotes or orders directly into our ERP system. We are willing to consider technical specialists: for example, you could specialize in commercial applications, residential grid-tie, or off-grid systems.

Travel would occasionally be required if you were to work from your home office, and there will be opportunities to travel to trade shows and AEE Solar training events as well. The SE will combine strong technical skills with the sales and people skills necessary in a sales environment.

The SE will be responsible for the following:

• Quoting systems
• Answering dealer technical questions on system design, installation, and product performance
• Maintaining personal knowledge of products and code requirements for installation

Salary will be based on experience and is comprised of an hourly wage or  base salary plus commission.  AEE Solar offers health insurance (including dental, vision, and a flexible medical spending account), a 401k plan, and paid vacation, sick days and holidays (11).
