Item Code Changeover
We are in the midst of changing our system-wide accounting and online store software. The new system will be operational sometime in the next few months, and once it is, all our product Item Codes will be altered as described below.
Our brand-new 2008-2009 Renewable Energy Design Guide & Catalog was printed with this changeover in mind, so the new catalog displays the not-yet-active Item Codes. Therefore, if you go to the online store to look up products you see in the 2008-2009 catalog, you will need to 'translate' the new ICs back to the old (but still active) IC format.
Fortunately, the translation is simple. Here's how it works:
11.5349 – the currently active IC format
011-05349 – the not-yet-active IC format displayed in our new catalog
As you can see, a hyphen has replaced a period to separate the two parts of the IC, and a 0 (zero) has been placed in front of both parts of the IC. This applies to each and every product's Item Code.
