SMA will partner with full-service distributors in the residential, commercial and off-grid segments.

Orlando, Fla., Sept. 10, 2012 — Hanwha Solar, a global provider of total solar energy solutions and a leading manufacturer of silicon ingots, wafers, and photovoltaic cells and modules, today entered a distribution partnership with AEE Solar, one of the nation’s largest and most well- established wholesale distributors of solar products and equipment.
California, USA, May 23, 2012: REC today announced its continuing partnership with the US Solar Power Wholesale Distributor AEE Solar, welcoming the leading national solar equipment provider to join the REC Partner Program. AEE Solar will join the program as a Platinum Partner, reflecting its long and successful partnership with REC, the leading vertically integrated player in the solar energy industry.
As many of you are well aware, on May 17, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) announced preliminary anti-dumping duties which will be applied to certain cells and modules produced by Chinese solar manufacturers. The two mandatory respondents in this proceeding, Suntech and Trina Ltd., have been assigned preliminary anti-dumping duties of 31.22% and 31.14%, respectively. Fifty-nine other manufacturers, including Canadian Solar, Hanwha SolarOne, and Jinko Solar will be assigned a weighted average duty of 31.18%. All other Chinese manufacturers received a preliminary duty of 249.96%.
Delta Products Corp. has selected AEE Solar, a renewable energy system and equipment distributor, to become an authorized dealer of its Solivia residential inverters.The residential string inverter features high-frequency transformers, an output power of 2.5 kW to 5 kW, and a free monitoring system, Delta says. Under the new partnership, the Solivia inverters are now available in the product offering of AEE Solar.
Last year, The Solar Foundation, a more than three-decade-old nonprofit based in Washington, D.C., released its second-annual job report on the solar industry. For the first time, more than 100,000 people in the country had jobs in the solar field. More than one-quarter of the jobs, or 25,575, were in California.
And, because it’s an affordable place to do business, Sacramento, according to local energy outfit AEE Solar, is an attractive destination within the state.
Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker and Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon each were presented Wednesday evening with the Utah Solar Energy Association’s 2012 Solar Energy Champion award.
"Mayor Becker and Mayor Corroon are deserving," said Elias Bishop, the association’s director. "They have promoted solar projects within their communities that have really helped advanced the industry."
The awards were given at the association’s annual State of the Industry & Recognition event at the Holiday Inn at the Salt Lake International Center.

San Luis Obispo-based AEE Solar Inc., which bills itself as one of the nation's top distributors of solar energy systems and equipment, is consolidating various operation/distribution activities from throughout California into a new 63,000-square-foot facility in Natomas.
Officials said the facility at 1227 Striker Ave. - just northeast of the intersection of Interstate 80 and Truxel Road - will process more than 30,000 outbound shipments a year.
